The 2026 edition of the Boa Cama Boa Mesa Guide Awards once again established itself as one of the main moments celebrating excellence in gastronomy and hospitality in Portugal. The ceremony took place at the Leixões Cruise Terminal, in Matosinhos, bringing together industry professionals, chefs, hoteliers, and several brands connected to the restaurant sector.
A total of 39 restaurants and 22 accommodation units were distinguished with Fork and Key classifications (Platinum, Gold, and Silver), through an evaluation process conducted by a specialized team that travels across the country throughout the year. This year’s edition once again highlighted projects that combine quality, innovation, consistency, and territorial identity, reinforcing Portugal’s position as a leading gastronomic destination.
The highlight of the evening was the election of Vítor Matos as Chef of the Year 2026, consolidating his status as one of the most influential figures in contemporary Portuguese cuisine. In addition to this recognition, the chef also received a Gold Fork for the restaurant Antiqvvm, in Porto.
The Career Award was also presented to Alexandre Marto Pereira, recognizing a career marked by dedication and impact in the hospitality sector in Portugal.
Among the restaurants distinguished with Platinum Fork were references such as Belcanto, Casa de Chá da Boa Nova, and Ocean, while leading hotel units received Platinum, Gold, and Silver Keys, reflecting the diversity and quality of the national offer.
Costa Verde was present, reinforcing the connection between industry, restaurants, and hospitality. This participation highlights the brand’s role in supporting the gastronomic experience, particularly through the design and supply of tableware solutions that enhance both product and service.
This edition of the awards provides a strong and comprehensive portrait of national excellence, highlighting not only established names but also new dynamics and projects that continue to raise the standards of gastronomy and hospitality in Portugal.
