When solidarity became Love in Motion

At Costa Verde, we have always believed that the role of a company goes far beyond producing goods or generating economic value. Companies carry a growing responsibility as social actors, capable of positively influencing the communities where they operate. Assuming social responsibility has been, for Costa Verde, a conscious, structured, and ongoing choice.

It was in this context that, for the twelfth consecutive year, Costa Verde organized the Costa Verde Solidária initiative, whose most recent edition took place in December.

Under the motto “Solidarity is love in motion. Let yourself be moved.”, the company once again mobilized employees, partners, and friends around a common goal: to act. Through the donation of food products, clothing, footwear, toys, and various household items, it was possible to contribute to a more dignified, comfortable, and joyful Christmas for those most in need.

This year, the collected donations were delivered to the Comissão de Apoio Social e Desenvolvimento de Santa Catarina, in the municipality of Vagos, an institution that carried out close and continuous work with families in situations of greater vulnerability. This collaboration ensured that the donated goods reached the families who truly needed them.

Over more than a decade, the Costa Verde Solidária initiative has supported and impacted hundreds of families, establishing itself as a consistent charitable action, deeply rooted in Costa Verde’s culture and sustained over time.

Social Responsibility

Costa Verde’s commitment to social responsibility stems from a consistent and conscious path, based on a broad set of environmental and social concerns that directly or indirectly affect the daily lives of people and the communities in which the company operates.

Costa Verde has been SA8000 – Social Responsibility certified since 2013 and has subscribed, since 2015, to the principles of the United Nations Global Compact, committing to accept, support, and implement its core values in the areas of human rights, labor practices, environmental protection, and anti-corruption. The company is also aligned with the principles of the Green Economy, non-financial reporting, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), integrating these frameworks into its strategy and daily operations.

Recognized for its respect for others and the environment, teamwork, gratitude, justice, and honesty, Costa Verde has developed and consolidated several social projects, including the Costa Verde Solidária initiative, the Psychosocial Risk Project, and the implementation of a Performance Management System (PMS). These projects reflect the company’s commitment to well-being, people development, and building a more responsible, inclusive, and sustainable organization.

In today’s increasingly demanding social context, companies must reflect on the impact of their decisions and actively contribute to building a fairer, more supportive, and balanced society. Corporate social responsibility is not merely a complement to economic activity but an essential pillar of trust, reputation, and long-term sustainability.

With Costa Verde Solidária, Costa Verde reinforced this commitment and fulfilled a clear purpose: to actively contribute to a better Christmas and a stronger community, promoting closeness, empathy, and a shared sense of responsibility.

To all employees, partners, and friends who allowed themselves to be moved by this cause, Costa Verde extends its sincere gratitude. Together, we demonstrated that when companies act, solidarity takes shape, continuity, and real impact.
