On last Wednesday, April 17th, the School of Hotel Management and Tourism of Estoril hosted the 2nd regional stage of the 35th edition of Chefe do Ano, which crowned Mário Santos (Rossio Gastrobar – Altis Avenida, Lisbon) as the winner.
Following this round, two of the finalists for the competition have already been determined. The first stage, held on April 10th at the School of Hotel Management and Tourism of Porto, saw João Costa (Euskalduna Studio, Porto) emerge victorious. João Costa had previously won the Makro Kitchen category of Young Gastronomy Talent in 2015, as well as the JTG ‘Modernity and Tradition’ prize in 2018.
With the completion of the first two stages of Portugal’s oldest national cooking competition for professionals, it’s now the turn of the School of Hotel Management and Tourism of Portimão to host the southern stage of the 2024 edition, scheduled for April 23rd.
Costa Verde extends congratulations for the dedication, commitment, and excellent work done so far, wishing everyone much success and great achievements.
