Nelson Maurício appointed Chief Executive Officer
Following the launch of a new strategic phase marked by Vallis Capital Partners’ investment in Costa Verde, Nelson Maurício has been appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Group.
His appointment represents another important step in implementing the strategy defined for this new stage of development, which aims to establish a leading European ceramics group by leveraging the complementary strengths of Costa Verde and Ceramirupe while enhancing the Group’s ability to serve international markets.
With extensive experience in the hospitality and foodservice sectors, Nelson Maurício will lead this new chapter in close collaboration with Miguel Neves and the entire Costa Verde team, building on the values that have always distinguished the company: customer proximity, innovation, manufacturing excellence, and a strong export-oriented mindset.
The integration of Costa Verde into a broader industrial project will combine Costa Verde’s expertise in porcelain with Ceramirupe’s know-how in stoneware, creating a multi-material manufacturing platform with greater flexibility, production capacity, and reliability. This complementary approach will enable the Group to respond even more effectively to the needs of the hospitality, foodservice, and private label markets.
Despite this evolution, Costa Verde will preserve its identity, market positioning, and the principles that have guided its journey for more than three decades.
