The Terra collection, designed by Pere Gifre, was selected to accompany “Dinner in the Sky”, a unique gastronomic experience held in Giverny, France, as part of the commemorations marking the centenary of Claude Monet’s death.

Giverny hosted a truly unique experience bringing together gastronomy, art, design, and nature: Dinner in the Sky, hosted by chef David Gallienne in partnership with Dinner in the Sky, as part of the programme commemorating the centenary of Claude Monet’s death.

Monet lived in Giverny for 43 years, until his death, and created some of his most iconic works there. In this place so closely connected to the painter’s life and work, guests enjoyed a gastronomic experience literally at great heights, with the tables raised 50 meters above the ground, offering a unique perspective over the landscape of Giverny.

For this special occasion, Costa Verde was the event’s exclusive tableware brand, with the Terra collection, designed by Pere Gifre, accompanying the gastronomic experience.

With its organic shapes and strong connection to authenticity and nature, the Terra collection created a particularly harmonious connection with the setting of Giverny — bringing together design, gastronomy, and nature.

Four chefs, one exceptional gastronomic experience

Over the three days, David Gallienne shared the kitchen with three guest chefs, Cyril Boulais, Alan Geaam and Charles Coulombeau, who presented different gastronomic creations developed as four-hands collaborations.

The experience also featured an artistic intervention by artist Saype, further strengthening the connection between art, nature, and place.

Costa Verde’s presence at this event, as the exclusive tableware brand, represents an opportunity to associate Portuguese porcelain with an international experience of remarkable visibility, in a setting where every detail contributed to creating a truly memorable experience.

The choice of Terra by Pere Gifre also highlights the versatility of the collection and its ability to complement high-end gastronomic experiences, where design and presentation play a fundamental role.

In Giverny, the place where Monet found inspiration for more than four decades, the Terra collection was quite literally in the clouds.
