The UN Global Compact Network Portugal recognized the valuable contribution and leadership demonstrated by Costa Verde in advancing Sustainable Development.
Costa Verde, member of the board of directors of the United Nations Global Compact Portugal, integrates into its activity the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact and their respective alignment with global agendas, namely the United Nations 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals, in a deep involvement focused on the areas of human rights, labor practices, environmental protection and anti-corruption.
The Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact are derived from four universally accepted declarations and conventions, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Labor Organization Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, the Rio Declaration on Environment and Development and the Convention on United Nations against Corruption.
