Portuguese Association of the Global Compact

Costa Verde is part of the governing bodies of the Portuguese Association of the Global Compact

Costa Verde was invited to join the governing bodies of the Portuguese Association of the Global Compact, an entity that is organized worldwide, in 70 local networks, the Portuguese network being one of them, in recognition of all the work carried out by the company, across sustainability and social accountability.

These structures locally operationalize the UN Global Compact’s strategy through campaigns and global programs adapted to each country’s reality and context. The Global Compact Network Portugal is the Portuguese network of the UN Global Compact, which brings together subscribers of the initiative with headquarters or operations in Portugal. Networks play a key role at the local initiative level and are an essential part of the UN Global Compact’s development strategy. Its work of sharing knowledge and methodologies between projects, programs and tools, contributes towards deepening the implementation of the Ten Principles and creates opportunities for intersectoral initiatives to develop in the action, advocacy and dissemination of the United Nations goals.
