Costa Verde was represented by Leonor Tavares, Head of the Integrated Management System, at the eCircular Aveiro Regional Session, where she presented the company’s strategy for circularity and the main results achieved to date.
Among the practices highlighted were the full reintegration of production scraps, the Endless model produced using 100% of ETARI sludge, the external recovery of 98% of waste, internal water recycling, the installation of 1MW of photovoltaic panels, and heat recovery from kilns. Innovative projects such as CiPoCer and LaserMarKer were also mentioned.
Leonor Tavares emphasized the main challenges of this transition, namely the integration of complex waste and investments in energy efficiency, which were overcome through rigorous monitoring, innovation, and partnerships with scientific entities.
Costa Verde reinforced that circularity is now a strategic pillar, contributing to greater efficiency, reduced environmental impacts, and strengthened competitiveness.
