The month of February was signed at Costa Verde by LaserCer project’s launch meeting.
This project aims to investigate and validate the use of Additive Manufacturing technologies, integrated with advanced computer technologies, in the design and production process, under the purpose of creating disruptive products in the porcelain sector, from optimised manufacturing processes, based on Artificial Intelligence and Mixed Reality systems. This project will address various aspects across the design and manufacturing process of porcelain products for an Additive Manufacturing technology – Selective Laser Sintering.
The participating consortium includes Costa Verde, a company with strong technological expertise in the porcelain industrial sector, and the University of Aveiro (Department of Materials and Ceramics Engineering and the Aveiro-Norte Higher School), as a non-business entity in the R&I system, with extensive experience in the field of research and development of ceramic materials and Additive Manufacturing technologies, thus ensuring that the necessary industrial research and experimental development activities are carried out, with the aim of strengthening Costa Verde’s competitiveness and international insertion.
