Costa Verde was acknowledged by CHEP, with the Certificate of Sustainability, as the outcome of using the pooling system.
CHEP’s business model is based on the concept of “Sharing and Reusing”. It is called pooling. The pooling system is based on the possibility of renting pallets, these being supplied by the company itself. Responsible for controlling the whole administrative process, collection and quality assurance of the pallets in a closed loop system. CHEP believes that sharing and reusing products makes us more sustainable: and that is why you cannot buy their pallets. Costa Verde also believes that, through the pooling system, we can become more sustainable, which is one of the company’s priorities.
Certified under ISO 14001 – Environmental Management System, Costa Verde is committed towards actively contributing to the preservation of the environment. The continuous improvement of its performance, the reduction of the impact on the Planet and the fulfilment of the legally imposed requirements are its main focuses. This environmental commitment is integrated into the strategic goals of the company, which has an Industrial Wastewater Treatment Plant (IWTP) to efficiently treat its industrial liquid effluents. All the water treated in this plant is reused in washing the factory’s floor.
