The 35th Chefe do Ano (Chef of the Year’s) edition once again challenged chefs to compete and take part in a movement aimed at defending and preserving the roots of traditional Portuguese cuisine. It was at Lamego’s Multipurpose Centre that Diogo Novais Pereira became this latest edition’s winner, thus becoming part of the Chef of the Year’s large family.

On March 19th, the 18 shortlisted finalists had the opportunity to visit Costa Verde and become aware of our whole industrial process while visiting the showroom. You can check out this moment here, in the first episode of the series launched by Edições do Gosto. This is a three-episode series, showing the 18 competitors’ journey towards the 2024 national finals. It features different perspectives: that of the competitors, those who judge and those who organise the competition. Canal Casa e Cozinha is where the Chefe do ano 2024 (2024’s Chef of the Year) series was first broadcast.

We’re looking forward to the next 2025 edition!
