The well-known chef Camilla Jesholt Buffatti, Pastry & Dessert Designer, has won the latest edition of the international competition Best Christmas Plate Competition, an initiative by Culinary Passions and Chef Richard Knott.
The chosen piece was the 30h5cm Round Plate from Terra collection, in a production and presentation that, according to chef Camilla Jesholt Buffatti, represents “A sensory journey that evokes the last falling leaves dissolving in the winter wind, while the vibrant red adds warmth to the festive atmosphere”.
The winning dessert is a dark chocolate mousse and bourbon vanilla cream, raspberry and rose ice cream. She also used a sheet of rose kombucha gel, rosehip and raspberry, accompanied by dark hazelnut chocolate brittle and light chocolate tuile.
2024 ended on a high note for chef Camilla Jesholt Buffatti, who once again saw her value being recognised by also winning the Chef VIC Competition, in direct competition with the Gordon Ramsay Group’s Head Chef.
For the time being, Terra collection will be the one used at SilikomArt and Hangar78 International School / Food & Pastry Innovation Lab.
About Terra collection:
Like a work of art carved out of the earth, the pieces in the collection reveal themselves in a beautiful and imperfect way. It is through the partnership between the hands of artist Pere Gifre and our porcelain technique that Costa Verde introduces this collection.
Featuring striking lines and organic profiles, Terra represents the beginning of a new era for Costa Verde’s brand. A collection intended to awaken the senses, while being an alliance between different tactile experiences, connecting us with nature. From rough to satin, from flat to steep surface, each piece is unique, singular and disruptive.
