Costa Verde, as a member of APEE, the Portuguese Business Ethics’ Association, joins the Anti-Corruption Month, as an initiative of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy, approved by Resolution No. 37/2021 of the Council of Ministers, from April 6th.
The Portuguese Platform for Integrity, initiated by the United Nations Global Compact Network Portugal and the Portuguese Business Ethics’ Association, continues to align itself with the United Nations, specifically with the initiatives of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime. It is an initiative that promotes integrity, transparency and the fight against corruption in Portugal, as a collaborative space that brings together different sectors of society, including civil society organizations, the private sector, the academic community and public administrations, focused on strengthening ethical practices and fighting corrupt practices.
As its main goals, the Portuguese Platform for Integrity looks forward to raising awareness and empowering stakeholders to implement actions, which may promote integrity across several areas, such as corporate governance, public administration and sustainable development. Amongst the activities promoted by the Platform are the dissemination of good integrity and transparency practices, training and capacity building for organizations and individuals, public policies’ promotion to strengthen ethics and anti-corruption monitoring initiatives.
