Costa Verde<\/a>, an active member of the UN Global Compact<\/a>, participated in the celebrations of the 25th anniversary<\/strong> of this global initiative, reaffirming its commitment to sustainability<\/strong> and corporate responsibility<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The United Nations Global Compact<\/strong> is a special initiative of the UN Secretary-General dedicated to sustainability<\/strong>, launched in 2000 by Kofi Annan<\/strong>. Established through a resolution of the UN General Assembly, it is based on Ten Fundamental Principles<\/strong> in the areas of human rights<\/strong>, labor practices<\/strong>, environmental protection<\/strong>, and anti-corruption<\/strong>, promoting their integration into the strategy and operations of companies.<\/p>\n

At this event, the UN Global Compact renewed the commitment of participating companies to the Ten Principles<\/strong> and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)<\/strong>. The program included sessions on current key topics, such as the Pact for the Future<\/strong>, the Global Digital Compact<\/strong>, the impact of European legislation<\/strong>, sustainability in SMEs<\/strong>, climate action<\/strong>, water resilience<\/strong>, ocean protection<\/strong>, and other global challenges, with multiple contributions from national and international experts, debates, pitches, workshops, and knowledge-sharing moments.<\/p>\n

Leonor Tavares<\/strong>, Manager of Costa Verde Integrated System, represented the company and had the honor of delivering the Declaration of Commitment (DoC)<\/strong> to the participating organizations, reinforcing the importance of adhering to these principles.<\/p>\n
