Costa Verde<\/strong> has teamed up with Nelson Marques<\/strong> on his latest work CHEFS SEM RESERVAS: TERCEIRO PRATO<\/strong><\/a>, which was presented last June 17th, at the Sauvage restaurant<\/strong><\/a>, located at the Bel\u00e9m Cultural Centre in Lisbon.<\/p>

Chefs Sem Reservas<\/strong> is much more than a collection about the world of haute cuisine; it’s a journey through the life stories of the alchemists who, with their skilful hands and creative minds, turn ingredients into magic. Through ten and a half intimate conversations, this third volume once again unveils the secrets, memories and secrets of some of the best chefs in Portugal and the world. The challenge will be discovering the journeys that took them to the very top and the challenges they faced along the way in their never-ending quest for perfection, as well as learning the stories of those who started out washing dishes and became the biggest names in cuisine over the last three decades or those who swapped the football pitch for the kitchen, among many other inspiring stories. Each one of them is a glimpse into a world where passion and sacrifice go together and a beacon for all those seeking a successful life. It is with great honour and pleasure that Costa Verde has accepted Nelson Marques’ invitation to collaborate on this third book.<\/p>

Nelson Marques<\/strong><\/a> was a journalist for more than two decades, by having worked in Expresso’s newsroom, where he was the magazine’s coordinator, and in P\u00fablico. He collaborated with SIC, RTP and numerous national media, and written for various international publications, such as The Guardian (England), El Mundo (Spain), The Jerusalem Post (Israel) and \u00c9poca (Brazil). He has published hundreds of news reports, uncovered a sexual harassment scandal involving former FIFA president Sepp Blatter, covered the elections that brought Bolsonaro to office in Brazil and interviewed some of the most important personalities on the planet, from Al Gore to Anthony Bourdain, including Philippe Starck, Renzo Piano, Christian Louboutin, David LaChapelle, Katy Perry, Ronaldinho Ga\u00facho and many others, including winners of Nobel Prizes, Oscars, Emmys, Grammys and Pulitzers. His work has been honoured by the Portuguese Press Club, the Portuguese League Against Cancer, the European Best Cancer Reporter Award, the National Association of Portuguese Municipalities and the Gourmand Awards. He is the author of the books Filhos da Quimio (2018), Chefs Sem Reservas (2019), Os Homens Tamb\u00e9m Choram (2021), Chefs Sem Reservas: Segundo Prato (2022) and O Sucesso Est\u00e1 Nos Detalhes (2023). He also wrote Futuro, one of the volumes of the book marking Corticeira Amorim’s 150th anniversary. He believes, perhaps naively, that books will save the world from barbarians.<\/p>
